Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. we understand from the Foreign office
that it will take them a little time to investigate
the financial proposals contained therein and they
have asked us not to correspond either with you or
Tehran officially on this aspect of the matter until
they have made up their minds.
2 . Meanwhile, however, Crowe attaches
considerable importance to initiating without further
delay a system of direct correspondence with the
political Resident A senior ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul General) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Residency. at Bushire on the conditions laid
