No:l of 1935. The Bahrain Petroleum Company limited have
confirmed that the Tankship fT V/.S.Rheems TT will return to Bahrain
during the first fortnight of March to take a further shipment
of oil.
(2). Californ ia Ara bian St and ard Oi l Company .
(a) . It is understood that a derrick has been erected near
Dammam and drilling will commence early in March.
(b) . It is reported that during his forthcoming visit to
the Hasa Coast, the Sa f udi Minister of Finance will go over
the Company’s place at Dammam.

Mr.C.C.%lles is still at Qatar. In the meantime rumours are
current in Bahrain that Major Frank Holmes is in comnainication
with Shaikh ’Abdullah bin Qasim al Thani, Ruler of Qatar, and
has promised him better financial terms than have been offered
by the Anglo-Persian Oil Company Limited.
