Monsieur le Charge d'Affaires,
A certain Yusuf Lut^ffali Khcnj i has submitted
tc the Persian Legation in London a petition in connec
tion with an Ice Plant which he had erected in Bahrain
in partnership with Sheikh Hamed ibni Sheikh Issa Alkha-
iifa in which he has set forth the unjust and arbitrary
proceedings tarien by Sheikh Hamed against him with the
hefcp of the British political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. in Bahrain in respect
of the partnership and has asked for justice tc be ren
dered in the case. A copy of the petition is sent here
with for the information of that honourable Legation
together with a copy of the correspondence exchanged
between Khcnji's legal attorney with the Foreign Office
in London, the political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. and the Municipality at
Bahrain in which an account is given of the assistance
and help given tc Sheikh Hamed as well as the oppressions
made by the latter which have been pretested agaiast.
As the copy of the enclosed correspondence
shows clearly, after Yusuf Lut^fali Khcnji had, at the
inducement of the Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. , founded the Ice Fac
tory in Bahrain in partnership with Sheikh Hamed ioni
Sheikh Issa and tried for 6 years, while incurring
great expenses in overcoming the difficulties and im
proving the business, Sheikh Hamed, with a view tc reserv
-ing all the profits of the factory An East India Company trading post. tc himself, has had
recourse tc some stupid tricks: he had at first addressed
a letter tc YUsuf Khcnji making tc him a proposition tc
buy his shares in the business under certain arbitrary
conditions/
