The map accompanies Admiralty letter M.884/47 dated 5 September 1947, to the Commonwealth Relations Office (folio 96), and is used to show the division of waters between Bahrain and Qatar.

The map shows land and marine features.

Lines on the map plotted by capital letters (with pencil additions) indicate two alternative lines of division of the waters around the Hawar Islands.
