2. Appended is a copy of an Arabic letter dated the 22nd
Jamad oth Thani 1363 i.e. 13th June 1944 from Shaikh Khalid
bin Ahmed, Regent of Kalba at present at Hira to Khan Bahadur
Soiyid Razzaq, Reside*^ ^AgGnt* Sharjah, with a copy of its
wnclosure (letter from Shaikh Humaid bin Abdullah cousin of
Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed, at Kalba).

The object is thqt I have received a letter from the son
Shaikh Humaid bin ^bdulla saying that Shahooh hove aggressed on
our people at "Hisn” (Diba) and violated the covonant t As from
18th Jamad al Thani 1363 (9-6-44) they have possessed the places,
killed one of our people, plundered some booty and injured
another. The attached letter is from the son Humaid which please
peruse, and the balance of the story will be given to you by
Shaikh Saqr in person. I have informed you of it which please
note.
The killed man*s name is Walad Ahmed bin Mohammed bin
Khalfon•
Translation of letter dated 19th Jamad al Thani 1363 (10-6-44)
from Shaikh Humaid bin Abdullah to Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed.
The object is to inform you that Shahooh aggressed on the
people of ,, Hisn ,, on Saturday night, 18th Jamad al Thani 1363
(9-6-44) and they have taken hold of the places. They plundered
and killed men. The letters received from Diba are attached here
with and also the letter which I have received from Syed Ahmed
