Sir,
I ha^e the honour xo refer to correspondence resting with
your endorsement No .739-14/247 doted the 31st March 1944 with
enclosure and to enclose further correspondence between the
Political Officer Trucial ^oast, the Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. Agent Sharjah,
and myself.
2. It appears from the enclosed correspondence that the
Ghihus are again stirring up trouble, and I request xhat the
Muscat authorities be again moved to consider the proposals
outlined in my nonfidontial Letter No.o/n? dated the 15th
January 1944.
3. Now that the Sultan has returned it should be possible
for the Muscat authorities to implement the suggestion contained
in Muscat telegram No.r/499 dated the 29th March 1944 where!#
the activities of the Shihuh could be curbed by an official on
the spot•
