This file relates to Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal [Sayyid Hamūd bin Fayṣal Āl Bū Sa‘īd], an uncle of the Sultan of Muscat and Oman [Sa‘īd bin Taymūr Āl Bū Sa‘īd], and a resident of Zanzibar.

The correspondence concerns a request from Hamoud bin Faisal for the renewal of his monthly allowance (also referred to as his pension), which was reportedly discontinued by the Muscat Government in 1935 when, having left Muscat for six months' leave in Zanzibar, Hamoud bin Faisal 'overstayed' his leave by choosing to remain there.
