This file contains correspondence regarding the Imperial Airways air route through the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. . Most of the papers relate to discussions on constructing an aerodrome in Kuwait to provide shelter for planes during storms. Other papers discuss the provision of shelter and safe storage for cargo and mail in Kuwait in transit to other stations on the route.
