Content

The map accompanies The Campaign in Mesopotamia 1914-1918. Volume I , and shows a stretch of the Shatt Al 'Arab River near Mohammerah [Khorramshahr] in south-western Persia. The map indicates military operations, built-up areas, date gardens and paths.

Prepared in the Historical Section of the Committee of Imperial Defence, and printed at the Ordnance Survey in June 1922.
