n Al Nahar” of Beirut issued on the 4th July an information
stating that Shaikh Said Ben Maksum brought a batch of Bedouins
to Dubai for the purpose of mufiedering his political enemies.
The bedouins are responsible for a big fire which lasted more than
12 hours and destroyed more that 800 houses. During the fire the
bedouins proceeded to a systematical looting of the town, raiding
every house, whether on fire or not. They stole namely 2.000
