Map depicting the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. and the Gulf of Oman, with the south-eastern edge of the Arabian Peninsula on one side and southern Persia [Iran] and south-western India [Pakistan] on the other. The map indicates hydrology, boundaries, settlements and routes, and provides some indication of relief in the form of hachures.

Compiled by Captain F F Hunter, Indian Army, Survey of India in 1908. Reprinted with minor additions and corrections, 1930 (this copy is dated February 1932).
