letter No. 653-S dated the 19th October 1940.
and asked him when he was going to appoint another.
He said that the Majlis was still in existence but
lacked two members who had resigned. I then asked him
why it did not meet, adding that it was im.jortmt that
it should do so. He replied that he ^uite agreed that
the existence of a Majlis was a real benefit to Kuwait,
which remark was typical of his duplicity.

will meet on the 7th of December.
Yours sincerely,
