by the one over the hills ; thence it goes over open hills, as
cending easily for three-quarters of an hour, and then des
cends over the same sort of country for one hour and a quarter,
to the deserted fort of Sain. Then on past small fort of Kumach
Khur on a hill, through low, deserted valleys with good soil
and water to a low ridge, whence a level road leads to Muham-
xuadabad in one hour and three-quarters from Sain. See Route
VIII(6), stage 4.

Kalat-i-Nadiri to Khaakha via Archangan is 26| miles in 2
stages.
