clay. Road is still hard and good, but in wet weather it is
heavy. At 15 miles a bifurcation of roads. A great numbei
of villages are now to be seen on plain to right to which e
other road goes. At 34f miles there is an irrigation stream
of good water. A little further than this, and about half a
mile to left, there is a village. At 26J miles the road skirts
the large village of Khurramabad, and soon after passes close
to another smaller village. At Khurramabad supplies and
water can be obtained, also lodging.

The volume is a Government of India official publication entitled Routes in Persia. (Volume I.) (Khorasan and Sistan.) General Staff India 1928 (Calcutta, Government of India Press, 1928).
