This file contains correspondence related to the opening of an Imperial Bank of Iran branch in Kuwait in 1941/42 and the bank's first few years of operation in the country.
The correspondence contained in the file consists of messages exchanged between British officials, representatives of the Imperial Bank of Iran and the Ruler of Kuwait, Shaikh Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah. Some of this correspondence is in Arabic (with English translations attached).
