Copy of a letter from HM Ambassador to Persia [Iran], Sir Gore Ouseley, in Tabriz, to the Chairman, Deputy Chairman and the Court of Directors The London-based directors of the East India Company who dealt with the daily conduct of the Company's affairs. of the East India Company, of 16 July 1813, which was received on 11 January 1814. The letter reports the raise of the rate of exchange between Persia and India by five percent, and the result of this upon the subsidy paid by the Company to Persia.
