Translation of a letter from the Crown Prince of Persia [Iran], Abbas Meerza [Mirza], to HM Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary A diplomatic representative who ranks below an ambassador. The term can be shortened to 'envoy'. to Persia, Sir Harford Jones. The letter concerns the approach of the French envoy, Georges Outrey, to Persia, after having accompanied the Persian Ambassador to France, Askar Khan [Askar Khan Afshar], on his return journey from Paris (IOR/L/PS/9/68/72). Abbas Meerza expresses his opposition to Outrey entering Persia and informs Jones of measures undertaken to stop his arrival.

The letter was enclosed in the secret letter of Jones, of 13 November 1810, which was received on 11 March 1811.
