Managing Agents, Anglo-'-'ersian Oil Co., Ltd., to the Dy. Chief
Political Officer, No. 40/114, dated the 7th December 1916.
We have the honour to request your assistance as regards the
nature of the country between Koweit and that point on the Arabian
Coast opposite Bahrein. We are anxious to know if there are any
outcroppings of solid rock along that route, or around -^1 Hotuf
as we wish to send one of our Geologists to these vicinities il pos
sible. In the event of this country being flat and sandy, with no
solid rock indications,it would be a waste of time to send our geolo
gist.
We shall be very much obliged if you can assist.us.
