that entry of Italian Steamship Service into Persian* Gulf is
much to be deplored. This entry, however, would appear to be
only local aspect of world wide problem, and so long as Italian
Government pursue policy of subsidies, and His Majesty f s
Government’s policy is to refrain from doing so, I do not see
how we can meet this competition. Ends.
