Sug-^al-Sheykh, but now decamped in unfriendly circumstances. (6th June
Hamud al-Asjan. See Hamud al-Asjan.
Hamud al-Suwait. —Shaikh of the Dhafir.

Hamza Hey- —(1) Officer Commanding at Nasiriyah. (2nd June 1915).
newspaper announced on 21st August
1915 that one of this name was made Mutessarif of
Karbala, after Sheoket. After the fighting of 11th
May 1916 there, he fled,
(2) Officer Commanding, 1st Camelry arriving at Shaikh
Sa’ad from near Suez. (17th January 1916).
Handak (?) Effendi. —Arab, Lieutenant, Officer Commanding one of
Squadrons of 31st Cavalry. Reported brave.
Hanzal. —Nephew of Shaikh of Muhammerah, died July 18th, 1916.
(15th April 1916).
Hardun. —A Shaikh of the Dilaim. (14th July 1916).

Marie .—German doctor in Baghdad. Was there in April and May 1916
as head of German Hospital.
Harlich. —A Captain of the Hamburg-Amerika line, who took charge of
the escaped Austrians at Kerman with buster. (22nd December 1915).
Hasak (Hasach) al-Mubai'ak- —Lives at Tarabah between Mad in ah and
Chabaish. Killed 60 Turks about 1st Juno 1915. Defeated by llamud al-
Jabir. (15th June 1915). Was with Mukallaf with large force of hostile Arabs
at ALKhudhairah. (6th July 1916)
