going in the direction of Aden for the purposes of trade, or returning therefrom.
In consideration thereof the British Government agrees to pay to the said
Sheikh and to his successor or successors a monthly sum of sixty (60) dollars,
the half of which is thirty dollars.

The above treaty shall have effect from this date. In witness thereof the
undersigned have affixed their signatures or seals at Aden, this eighth day of
December, one thousand nine hundred and three.
