Article 2 . For the purpose of Articles 3, 4, and 5 of this Order,
tte Director of Customs of the Bahrain Government shall be the Price
Controller.
following Order is substituted for them.
(a) RATIONED FOODSTUFFS : The following foodstuffs
Wheat, Wheat flour, Flour, Rice, and Sugar, whicn may be imported
into Bahrain by the Bahrain Government shall be distributed to
authorised retailers who shall sell such toodstufis to authorised
holders of ration cards according to the quantity and the price
laid down by the price controller. A profit of 4 ^ shall be allowed
to the retailers.
In respect of the goods recorded in Schedule 111 prices shall
be fixed as follows
price. Retailers shall sell to the public at a profit of 5^ on the
cost to the retailer.
(b) On the articles listed in Schedule III(B) wholesalers may make
the profit noted against each article.
(c) On the articles listed in Schedule 111(C) the prices shall be
fixed by tbs Bahrain Food Committee. The said Committee shall meet
at least once a month to consider alterations m the control prices.
(d) Every wholesaler of the commodities listed in Schedule III(A)
and (B) shall maintain a register in the form attached giving details
of all such commodities held or imported by him and of every sale mad*
by Mm to retailers, or, in the cane of tyres, tubes or electric
batteries, to the public. ^
(e) No wholesaler shall refuse to sell stocks to a retailer at the
prices fixed by the price Controller.
(f) A notice shall be displayed by the retailers in their snips
