The most striking news in the Gulf during the month
of May was the visit of the American Navy to the sheikhdoms
of Bahrain and Kuwait and to the Sultanate of ynascat. The
U.S.S. ’’Toledo'* - a new heavy cruiser - arrived at Bahrain
on the 10th of May and formal calls were exchanged between
