Genre/Subject Matter:

This printed pen sketch shows Maskat (Muscat) from the harbour entrance and was probably sketched from on board ship. Three small boats are in the foreground while a steamer is visible closer to shore. A fort on an outcrop of land to the left of the image is probably Al Jalali Fort.
