These include: Charles Belgrave, Advisor to the Government of Bahrain; the Director of Customs and Port Officer; the Head Munshi A term used in the Middle East, Persia and South Asia to refer to a secretary, assistant or amanuensis. Munshis were employed in the British administration in the Gulf. ; the Postmaster; and doctors and other employees of the American Mission Hospitals (men's and women's) and the Victoria Memorial Hospital.
