Letter regarding attempts at redress to obtain a settlement from the Persian authorities and the difficulty of obtaining it including detailing the amount of money owed to others including the French, Russians and Turks; and regarding the fact that the Foreign Office Agent in Bushire has not yet been dismissed.

The letter also requests items of public news to be sent to Tehran as the cable and telegraph lines are not fully staffed.
