The letter also discusses the Wageer? Battalion and the Bheel Corps; the local wildfowl which is considered to be a sign that cooler weather is coming; Dawes current work preventing the landing of mercenaries or slaves and William Gifford Palgrave's book and the inaccuracies and odditities within it.
