The letter gives an account of the author's attempts to get the Vackeel [Karim Khan] to lift the trade embargo on Bushire. It is reported that the ban has been imposed because of the Khan's unhappiness with Shaik Saddoon [Sheikh Sa‘dūn] and suggests that the sheikh travel to Shiraz to try and settle the dispute. There is an assurance that the author will gather what information he can about the trade in raw silk.
