The letter questions Jervis' excuse for a lack of communication, arguing that there were vessels available and two sailed from Bushire to Basra recently. A complaint is made about a lack of news on the linguists visit to Ispahaun [Isfahan] to get confirmation of the Company's grants. The need for two further sepoys Term used in English to refer to an Indian infantryman. Carries some derogatory connotations as sometimes used as a means of othering and emphasising race, colour, origins, or rank. at Bushire is also questioned.
