The letter describes how Karim Khan yet again gave the author assurances the he will assist the English in their attack on Carrack [Kharg] Island with 7000 men under the command of his half-brother, Zackey Caun [Zāki Khan Zand], and then yet again went back on those assurances. Skipp expresses his fears and frustrations throughout the letter.
