Mackell showing two sequential topographical views of the coastal region showing Arabian coast of the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. south of Seir Beni Yass Island [Sir Bani Yas, United Arab Emirates].

The views were sketched from on board ship and show the landmarks inscribed: ‘Seir Beni Yass’, ‘Zerboot N 41° E[as]t. dist[an]t’ and ‘Jibbul Hadwareeah N 65° E‘.
