Letter thanking them for their careful arrangement of his affairs with the Bank of Bombay and acknowledging their decision not to sell his shares in the Colaba and Elphinstone Land Reclamation Companies.
The letter also acknowledges the new balance of his account with them and informs them that Mr James Charles Edwards will be forwarding them, from Bushire, two treasury orders for 1018-12-0 rupees Indian silver coin also widely used in the Persian Gulf. and 2000 rupees Indian silver coin also widely used in the Persian Gulf. which should be put towards meeting that balance.
The letter concludes by informing them of a package dispatached from England by Messrs Smith, Elder & Co which is to be forwarded to him at Bushire and of a letter he has received from the Commercial Bank, which is going into liquidation, and which has requested a contribution of £10 a share on his forty shares with them, which Pelly hopes Messrs Remington can come to a compromise with the bank in regards to.
