Letter regarding the sealing and exchanging of the Bunder Abbass [Bandar Abbas] lease and Pelly's forthcoming departure for Bahrein where he has been ordered to punish the Bahrein shaik (Shaikh Muḥammed bin Khalīfah Āl Khalīfah).
The letter also refers to Pelly's correspondence with the Viceroy regarding Aujam ]Henjam] and encloses a copy of Pelly's telegram reply to the Viceroy (no longer enclosed)
The letter continues by discussing Persia's views on potential conflict between Russia and England, key positions and the likely futures of Persia and Afghanistan in such a situation as well as providing notes on the Jenabah Tribe of the arab coast describing their eating habits with regards to fish.
The letter starts by referencing a letter to Sir Bartle of 28 Jul, for which a heading appeared on Folio 104 but the letter itself is not included in the letter book.
