Letter regarding Pelly's work in settling the Muscat affair on the Oman coast and the question of the Bunder Abbass [Bandar Abbas] districts which has finally been settled.

The letter also discusses the question of Aujam [Henjam], which Britain wishes to use as a telegraph station; Pelly's problems in acquiring property in Bushire, owing to difficulties with the Persian authorities and small breaches of the truce at sea which have escalated owing to british non-interference, orchestrated primarily by Bahrein and Aboothabee [Abu Dhabi].

The letter concludes with Pelly's impressions of the situation in England; potential threats from Russia and America and the recent peace in Abyssinia.
