Letter regarding the thirty six shares they have purchased on Pelly's behalf in the New Bank of Bombay, the money paid into the bank by Narayn Wussadeojee as a deposit for the new shares and enclosing a note for 4,000 rupees Indian silver coin also widely used in the Persian Gulf. to cover the full cost of the shares.

The letter also refers to enclosed notes of payment and cheques from the Back Bay and Colaba Island Railway Company, Messrs Smith, Elder & Co, and the Bombay Bank for sums of money to be paid into his account in the New Bank of Bombay.

The letter goes on to detail the remaining money to be paid for the thirty six shares, encloses the application completed and signed for their purchase. and enquires why there is no catagory for individuals such as himself who are shareholders and in the employ of the Indian Civil Service but who are not residents in India or 'in Europe' at that time.

The letter also informs the company he is awaiting confirmation that the ten shares in the Elphinstone Land Reclamation Company have been transferred and that the dividend in his shares of the British Victoria Land Company have been realized.

A postscript to the letter includes a full memorandum of his accounts, notes on monies transmitted to them by other individuals and a copy of Pellys note to Messrs Smith, Elder & Co, dated 4 September 1867 requesting that they pay Messrs Remington 100 pounds.
