Letter regarding photographs of the Bushire residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. which have been taken by Abraham Nickson Hojel and reporting on Sayed Torkee [Turki bin Said]'s attack on Sayed Soulem [Salim II bin Thuwaini].
The letter goes on to discuss arrangements for Pelly to meet Sir John Lawrence; and trade and communication lines through Persia, Russia and Turkey.
Other matters discusses include politics in Asia and Russia and the United States likely intentions with regards to them as well as the potential for Italy, Austria and Prussia to get involved and how this might open up Asia further.
The letter concludes by asking for details on the prospects of the Bank of Bombay and giving further details of the crisis and how the bank has defrauded its customers.
