The letter reprimands the recipient for sending damaged cloth to Basra and is ordered to take it back and dispose of it himself. There is a repeat of the Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. 's order not to rupture relations with Meer Mahanna [Mīr Muhanna]. The sale of woollens to the Caun [Karim Khan] is discussed, as is the business of a private merchant and the lower prices cloth is sold at in Basra. There are instructions to approach the Khan about the letter sent to him by the Agent and to send any surplus cash to Bombay.
