The letter discusses the tardiness of a boat carrying a packet from Basra to Bushire that missed the departures of the Success and the Spencer for Bombay. There is a repeat of an order to charge the Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. for the late Mr Rhoddy's expenses. Disapproval is expressed for the detention of a sloop at Bushire that which was later captured by the Chaub [Banu Ka‘b], and for the insubordinate tone of Jervis' letters. A request for news from the south and for the Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India.
