The letter is a further complaint about infrequent communication. It gives permission for two extra sepoys Term used in English to refer to an Indian infantryman. Carries some derogatory connotations as sometimes used as a means of othering and emphasising race, colour, origins, or rank. at Bushire due to threat of Meer Mahanna [Mīr Muhanna]. There is notification that Mīr Muhanna has denied knowledge of the recent theft of Company property. There is also a discussion of the Company's stance within the current political situation, urging neutrality and suggesting that contact with Mīr Muhanna is acceptable if of a purely commercial nature.
