The letter discusses the threat of attack by Meer Mahanna [Mīr Muhanna] at Bushire, with notification that the Swallow is being sent there for protection. Also discussed is an agreement reached with a Basra merchant to sell all woollens at Bushire, but due to lower prices at Basra it is left to Jervis to decide whether to do so or not.
