The letter expresses pleasure on hearing of the Caun's [Karim Khan] assurances for the security of Company property at Bushire and gives a promise to comply with orders not to negotiate with the Khan or any of his ministers. There is also a defence of the author's discussion in his letters of his predecessor Jervis' conduct while Resident at Bushire. A postscript reports that Zackey Caun [Zaki Khan] has arrived at Cozaroon [Kazerun] with his army.
Enclosed is an undated letter from William Bowyear to Rice Amhud Shaw, agent of Karim Khan. The letter is cover for Henry Moore's letters to the Khan and states Moore's desire to open up a correspondence between the two.
