The letter gives notification that Rawson Hart Boddam has left the Bombay Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. and Andrew Ramsay is his replacement, with John Beaumont joining the Council.
Enclosed is an extract of a letter from from the Governor General and Council at Fort William, in Bengal, to Bombay Castle, dated 5 November 1787. It contains a further request for plants for the new botanical garden at Bengal.
