The letter questions a couple of rumours from various sources. The first that Sheikh Soliman of the Ka‘b tribe has taken an English sloop and Captain Phillips of the Sally. The second that a fleet of Company ships has arrived at Muscat with the mission of retrieving the lost treasure of the Islamabad . The letter also reports that the Tartar has been withdrawn from Corgo [Khargu] and sails to India, and that Carem Khaun [Karim Khan] has left camp for Schirass [Shiraz] and all business is suspended until he arrives there.
