Letter regarding a complaint from the Persian authorities that the Captain has prevented Goolam Ali ben Houssein [Ghulam 'Ali] from landing at Bushire and that he has been restrained to prevent him leaving the steamer, and that they are requesting he be released and permitted to land at Bushire.
The letter requests details from the Captain of his terms of employment on board the Euphrates and requests a copy of any agreement made with him.
