The observations cover the following subjects:
Differences between Sultan of Muskat [Muscat] and Wahabees [Wahabis] - regarding His Highness Syed Soweynee [Thuwaini bin Said] having travelled to Soor [Sur] and his son Syed Salim [Salim II bin Thuwaini] having travelled to Sohar [Suhar] and that this has prompted the Wahabee Lieutenant to send troops to Batinah and could lead to conflict.
Muskat - regarding the complaint of Esau ben Khuleefa of Bombay that his uncle Shaheen had taken 4 laks of rupees Indian silver coin also widely used in the Persian Gulf. which belonged to him and attempting to find a court or location in which the matter could be settled.
Bassidore - regarding the complaints and counter-complaints of the Agent and Ebrahim ben Eusef and suggesting that Pelly's presence at Bassidore may help to resolve it.
Oman Ports - nothing to report
Bushire - A prohibition on communicating with Busreh [Basra] which came into force on 1 October and will last until 1 December or until satisfactory reports of the disappearance of Cholera there are received and no-one coming from mail steamers at Busreh is being permitted to land at Bushire. Also reports that there is no sign of Cholera at Bushire at that time.
