Letter enquiring if Merewether received copies of the letters John Jacob sent to Pelly and informing him that he had copies of all his letters from Jacob made and forwarded on to Pelly too.
Also discussed are a missed opportunity to meet and discuss affairs and his travel plans for the forthcoming weeks which will prevent him meeting Pelly.
The letter concludes with Merewether informing Pelly he has not seen his article in the Spectator as he thought it would appear in the Daily News and conversations Merewether had with Lord Melville on Indian matters and with Lord Monteagle on Sind and India.
