Letter regarding Lewis Pelly not having received letter No. 523 containing details of the agreement to resume relations with the Sultan of Muskat [Muscat]; his arrival at Muskat and the subsequent recognition of Sayed Soulem [Salim II bin Thuwaini]; and the desires of the Wahabee Ameer [Wahhabi Amir] to resume friendly relations with Muskat.
The letter goes on to add further remarks to the censure Pelly had previously received from the Government of India and further justifying the actions which had led to his censure.
