Copy Political despatch No. 50 which encloses Political despatch No. 94 from the Secretary of State for India (Stafford Henry Northcote, 1st Earl of Iddesleigh) to the Governor in Council, Bombay (William Robert Seymour Vesey Fitzgerald). The despatch expresses the Secretary of State's satisfaction of the creditable conduct of Lewis Pelly and Captain George Atkinson in regards to the difficult situation at Muscat.

Political despatch No. 94 is dated 23 November 1867 and is signed by the Secretary of State, it is also signed by Patrick Ryan, Assistant Secretary to the Governor of Bombay recording that a true copy of the despatch has been made.
