In the letter Taylor informs Dow A term adopted by British officials to refer to local sailing vessels in the western Indian Ocean. that there is a packet addressed to the Honourable the Governor in Council, presently on board the Udry , and requests that Bruce forward it to the Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. on the Udry or the Benares , whichever is likely to reach Bombay first.
