Stannus forwards a letter from Lieutenant-Colonel Macdonald, Envoy to the Court of Persia concerning a buglow [ buggalow Large trading vessel. ] from Bombay that had been wrecked on the Persian coast and plundered by the inhabitants of Dashtee [Dashti], a few miles south of Bushire.

The letter is accompanied by the following enclosure:

  • a marginal note refers to a letter dated 10 June [1826] on page 179 of the volume [IOR/R/15/1/36, ff 89-91].
